Ajith wants a silent birthday

After actors Rajini, Kamal Haasan and Napolean, Ultimate Star Ajith Kumar has issued a statement asking his fans to keep the celebrations for his birthday minimal, citing the plight of Sri Lankan Tamils as the reason. The actor’s birthday is on May 1 and he has asked fans to not make grand plans for the day which will be ‘highly inhuman considering our fellow Tamils who are languishing and suffering amidst death and pain in Sri Lanka.’

The actor, in his statement issued to the fans and the press, has also added that he will not be in the country for his birthday, as he will be out on shoot. “I request fans to circumvent the stress of trying to wish me in person,’ the actor has said, asking them to cooperate with the Ajith Kumar Narpani Iyakkam to revamp the organizations. It’s not just the plight of the Eelam Tamils but also the general elections, which Ajith has stated as the reason to keep the celebrations minimal, without ‘posing any discomfort to the authorities concerned.’

In the note, the actor had also thanked all those who wished him on the muhurat of Asal.
