Following the success of Nerkonda Paarvai, fans of Ajith are eagerly waiting for an official update regarding Thala 60 from the team. Producer Boney Kapoor, in one of his recent interaction with fans, announced that Thala 60 will be launched with a pooja soon.

While there are numerous speculations surrounding the character of Ajith, and the cast and crew of the movie, a recent news report suggests that Thala 60, directed by H.Vinoth, will feature Ajith as a tough cop as well as a loving father of two children. There are apparently some flashback portions in the movie, that Ajith loved during narration. Official confirmation of the same is awaited.

It was recently reported that Arun Vijay, who played a key role in Ajith's 2015 action thriller Yennai Arindhaal, has been roped in to play the antagonist in Thala 60. The complete cast and crew are yet to be finalized. It is also rumoured that Anirudh or Ghibran will be composing the music for the film.
