DMK President and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalaingar M.Karunanidhi's mortal remains is kept at the Rajaji Hall, Chennai for the cadres and people to pay the last respects. Since 5 AM, the crowd has been swelling. Many celebrities cutting across political lines and also film industry personalities have made a personal visit to pay the last respect to the Dravidian icon.

Earlier last night, Superstar Rajinikanth paid his last respects to Kalaignar by visiting his Gopalapuram resident where the latter's mortal remains was kept for sometime. Actor Ajith Kumar who sent a condolence statement for Kalaignar's death last night has now visited Rajaji Bhavan and paid his last respect for the veteran politician. He has come all the way for Hyderabad to do his due for the departed leader. Actors Suriya who was shooting for Selvaraghavan's 'NGK' has also taken time to pay his last respects for Kalaignar. Actors, Sivakarthikeyan, Vivekh, Atharvaa, director Vijay, Stunt Master Stun Silva and many others have made a personal visit and paid the last respects to the five time CM of Tamil Nadu.

Thalapathy Vijay is presently in USA shooting for 'Sarkar'. It is widely expected that he will fly down to India to pay his last respects for Kalaignar.
