Several rumors did the rumors around this, whether or not Ajith will be a part of this comeback venture of Sridevi, 'English Vinglish'. All through Ajith, as always, gave a deaf ear to the talk and didn't confirm nor deny.

However, it is now as good as official that Ajith will be shooting for his cameo appearance in English Vinglish on Monday (August 13) at a Mumbai studio. However, he will be seen only in the Tamil and Telugu versions of the trilingual (Hindi – Tamil – Telugu).

Helmed by Gauri Shinde, the film is about Sridevi as a helpless housewife who is mocked at by everyone due to her not knowing English and her efforts to master the language.

The film sees Amitabh Bachchan in a guest appearance in the Hindi version, which is played by Ajith in the south versions. Priya Anand of 'Nootrenbadhu' aka 180 fame is also seen in the film.

English Vinglish releases simultaneously in all three languages on October 5. The film will be screened at the prestigious Toronto festival as well.
