Big Stars who were absent in the Cauvery- Sterlite peace protest

Important members of all sections of the film fraternity were present at Valluvarkottam for the peace protest insiting the setting up of the Cauvery Management Board and against the Sterlite factories in Thoothukudi. Among actors Rajinikanth. Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Sivakarthikeyan, Dhanush.Vishal, Nasser, Sathyaraj and Karthi among others were present.
Those conspicious by their absence were Thala Ajith, Simbu, Jiiva, Jayam Ravi, Udayanidhi Stalin, Arulnithi, Atharvaa, Vikram Prabhu, Gautham Karthick and Vishnu Vishal. Most of the front line actresses too were missing including Nayanthara, Trisha, Samantha and Regina Cassandra.
