One of the most celebrated and respected couples in Tamil cinema, Ajith and Shalini, celebrate their wedding anniversary today (April 24). The duo has stood by one another through thick and thin and have set an example for young love birds in Kollywood.

Ajith - Shalini tied the nuptial knot in 2000. They started seeing each other from ‘Amarkalam’ in 1999 which was widely buzzed in the media. With the blessings of both the families they married as per both Hindu - Christian customs. They live with their baby girl, Anoushka.

Both Ajith and Shalini are known for their passion towards various sports and Shalini has stood by Ajith in both his career as an actor and a racer. In fact, although Ajith is one of the biggest stars in Tamil cinema today who has a strong fan base, his career graph took the upward turn only after his marriage.
