As we had reported on Thursday, actor Ajith Kumar has come to take part in the day long Silent Protest organised by the Nadigar Sangam to support the conduct of Jallikattu, the traditional bull sport of Tamil Nadu,

Clad in full black dress, Ajith reached the spot as one of the earliest.

it is to be noted that the actor never sent any statement in support of Jallikattu while many his peers did so.

It is also a notable fact that this Ajith is taking part in an event conducted by the Actor's body after many years. The last he did so was for the Thanks giving function for the former Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi for allotting government land for age old artists. In that even Ajith sparked a controversy by saying openly that actors are forced to take part in such events organised by the Nadigar Sangam.

Since then Ajith has never taken part in any event conducted by the Sangam and also abstained from voting in the elections conducted in October 2015.

The mass uprising for Jallikattu across the state has apparently drawn the much loved actor to take part in the protest to safeguard the Tamil identity.
