Thala Ajith is all set to be seen next in Ner Konda Paarvai directed by H Vinoth, and produced by Boney Kapoor. The movie is the official remake of Pink, and is releasing worldwide on August 10. In a recent interview, director H Vinoth has spoken on how he got the offer, and on Ajith deciding to correct his mistake.

Reportedly after Sathuranga Vettai, Vinoth had a script for Ajith with a negative shaded role, but Ajith had said that he had decided to stop negative roles and do movies that give hope and dreams for people, and then asked him if he could do Pink remake as the remake requires a good writer. Ajith had said it was Sridevi's desire to make Pink with Ajith in Tamil and after her demise, he wanted to fulfill the promise.

Even as Vinoth was hesitating to accept the project immediately, Ajith had said that he was shocked by crimes against women and the weak understanding of women in the society. Ajith had said he regretted doing movies where he stalked and chased women in the name of love, and wanted to correct his own mistake by doing Pink remake. In the next meeting between them, when Vinoth had told a female director could be the best choice, Ajith said that, if made by a female director, people will think a female director justifies women, and take it easy, and this is not a film for women but for men, and hence a male director must only direct it. It was Ajith's clarity that made him accept the project, revealed Vinoth.
