Now that Thala 56` directed by Siruthai Siva is nearing completion, a lot of curiosity has risen among fans of Ajith regarding his next movie. There have been speculations that K.V Anand and Vikram Kumar are the front-runners to direct Thala 57`.

Now sources reveal that director Vishnuvardhan is going to helm Thala 57` for producers Sathyajyothi Films. The Ajith-Vishnuvardhan combo have struck gold on the two previous occasions they came together for Billa` and Aaramabam`.
