We all know that Ajith Kumar's Thunivu opened in cinemas last week with a good response from the audience and has also made record-breaking gross at the box office. While the fans are enjoying the success of this film, their Pongal was made even more special by a super update of 'AK62'.

Ajith Kumar's next film, 'AK62', was officially announced last year, to be directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by Subaskaran under his banner Lyca Productions. We already broke to you that the streaming giant Netflix acquired the post-theatrical OTT rights of AK62 for a record price.

Netflix India South took to its social media handles today to make it official. Sharing a minimalistic poster, the platform wrote, "We tried to stay CHILLA CHILLA but we just CANNOT! #AK62 is coming on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada as a post theatrical release!" (sic). Anirudh will be scoring music for the much-awaited project.

According to sources, Arvind Swamy will be seen as the villain opposite Ajith in the film which will also feature Santhanam in an important role. AK is said to be playing a don in the movie. As per the latest reports, the AK62 shooting will commence on February first week in Mumbai. Stay tuned.
