Ajith Kumar is officially back in his strong zone in his latest bank heist thriller Thunivu. Fans are on cloud nine after witnessing the powerful screen presence of AK as a baddie again after a while. Also, the film is getting a phenomenal response from the audience at the box office.
Meanwhile, the updates on Ajith's next with director Vignesh Shivan has started rolling already. Tentatively titled 'AK62', Lyca Productions will be bankrolling the project with music by Anirudh. According to sources, Arvind Swamy and Santhanam will be playing pivotal roles in the film.
On the other hand, there were strong buzzes that Trisha or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might play Ajith's pair. Now, it has been clarified that those actresses are not a part of the film. It is being said that Trisha couldn't do the role as she has already allotted bulk dates for the Thalapathy 67 shooting. Reportedly, the makers are in talks with Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh to play the female lead role.
The shooting will commence in February in Mumbai and Gujarat. It is being said that Vijay Sethupathi heard the AK62 story and said, "Semma Mass." Santhanam's character will be in the likes of Parthiban's character in 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan'. The streaming giant Netflix bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of AK62 in five Indian languages.
