The news that government authorities demolished a part of the current residence of superstar Ajith Kumar in Chennai has caused a sensation among his fans. The officials have given the details of the operation shedding light on the reason.

Ajith Kumar, his wife Shalini and children Anoushka and Aadvik live in a luxury home in Injambakkam in Chennai East Coast Road. For the past few months road widening and rainwater drainage work has been going on in the area and parts of privately owned buildings along the road on the are being demolished.

While the highway department is carrying out these works as per the court order, the gate and the compound wall at the front gate of the house where actor Ajith Kumar is currently living have been demolished.

It is reported that the authorities have not only demolished a part of Ajith Kumar's house but also 50 other houses in that area up to four kilometers away. The work is expected to be completed in a few weeks time.

Ajith Kumar is currently in Azerbaijan shooting for his next action adventure film 'Vidaamuyarchi' directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions. The film has music by Anirudh and stars Ajith, Trisha, Regina Cassandra, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Aarav Nafeez and others.
