H Vinoth directorial & Ajith Kumar starrer 'Valimai' produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP and Zee Studios is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on January 13th. The makers, distributors and theatre owners are still going on with the release plans amidst the curfew restrictions due to the rise in COVID and Omicron cases.

On the other hand, it is a well-known fact that Ajith Kumar is teaming up with H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor again for his next project tentatively titled 'AK61'/'AjithKumar61'. The recent buzz in the Kollywood media circle is that 'AK61' is most likely to be kickstarted with a pooja ceremony on Jan 16th 2022 (if not Sunday lockdown).

The team will begin shooting for 'AjithKumar61' tentatively from January end or February. Rockstar Anirudh will be composing music for 'AK61'. The makers will reveal the rest of the cast & crew soon after the project goes on the floors. Meanwhile, Valimai also stars Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya, Yami Gautham, Raj Ayyappa, CWC Pugazh and Sumithra.
