Ajith is all set to begin his new film with director H Vinoth, which is also to be produced by Boney Kapoor, and the film marks the actor's third-time collaboration with the director and producer. The shooting of the film is planned to begin with puja soon. Now, the latest report is that Tabu will reunite with Ajith after 22 years in 'AK 61'.

Tabu, who has acted in a few Tamil films earlier, will be making a comeback to Tamil after 9 years. Tabu and Ajith were paired opposite in the Tamil film 'Kandukondain Kandukondain', which was directed by Rajiv Menon,

The sources state that the makers were in talks with Tabu to play an important role in AK 61 and she has also reportedly agreed to play the part. So, the favourite duo will be joining hands once again after 22 years, and this increases the buzz for the film. However, the official announcement about the same is yet to arrive.

On the other hand, Ajith's Valimai was postponed due to the sudden rise in the covid cases. The film is expected to hit the theatres in April. Touted to be a cop thriller movie, Ajith plays the lead role with RX100 fame Karthikeya playing the baddie. The film also has Huma Qureshi, Yogi Babu and Pugazh in prominent roles.
