Now it looks almost certain that the much anticipated film for Thala fans will be hitting the screens on August 10, 2017.

Siva has directed 'Vivegam' and it is his third consecutive film with Ajith after the super hit flicks 'Veeram' and 'Vedalam'. The Ajith-Siva duo have emerged as one of the highly successful actor-director duo in the recent years.

The duo have not only retained the 'V sentiment in the titles of their films. Sources reveal that they have decided to retain the release date sentiment with regards to 'Vivegam'.

'Veeram' released on January 10,2014 for the Pongal festival season. 'Vedalam' released on November 10, 2015 for the Deepavali festival. While the same date for these two films seems to be a coincidence, the makers have apparently taken a deliberate decision to have August 10th as the release date of 'Vivegam' keeping in line with the release date sentiment.

'Vivegam' has been produced by Sathya Jyothi Films banner on a grand scale.
