'Vivegam' scheduled to hit the screens in 10 days from now (August 24, 2017) is said to be the costliest film in actor Ajith Kumar's career. It also releases on the 25th year of his acting career. Due to various reasons 'Vivegam' has a phenomenally greatpre-release buzz. This is evident in the way the film is getting sold in each areas.

Sources reveal that the overall pre-release business of 'Vivegam' has crossed Rs.120 crores. The rights to release the film across Tamil Nadu have been sold area wise and the total amount fetched through that is Rs.53 crores. Apart from that the revenue from other territories are overseas rights of Rs.18 crores, Kerala and Telugu rights Rs.4.5 crores respectively and Karnataka Rights Rs.5 crores.

The satellite rights and audio rights of the film Tamil, Telugu and Hindi have fetched Rs.33 crores reportedly.

Trade sources say that this is the highest pre-release business made by a Tamil film without Superstar Rajinikanth and also a film that has not been directed by Shankar.

Releasing on the long Vinayakar Chathurthi festival weekend, one can expect the film to create new box office records all over the world in terms of Tamil films.
