Ajith's 'Vivegam' surpasses 'Baahubali 2' Opening record

Actor Ajith's most anticipated film 'Vivegam' has taken the biggest ever opening in Chennai Box Office and created a new history. The Siva directed flick released on Thursday (August 24th) and it has collected a whopping Rs.5.67 crores in its first four days.
We had reported earlier that the Siva directed International Spy Thriller flick had collected Rs.1.21 crores . Now we bring you the collections made by the film in its three day weekend.
'Vivegam' was screened in 22 screens and it has had a whopping 889 shows in these three days. With this the film has collected Rs.4,45,34,223 with 95% occupancy on an average.
With this 'Vivegam' has exceeded the previous opening weekend collections record made by the historical blockbuster 'Baahubali 2'. The film released on April 28 had collected Rs.3,69,40,790 (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions put together) in Chennai. But one should also not forget that the ticket rates have been increased from Rs.120 to Rs.153 in the meantime between the release of 'B2' and 'Vivegam'.
The total collections so far in Chennai (Between Aug 24 to 27), has exceeded Rs.5.6 crores (Rs.5,67,32,498).
