Thala Ajith's 'Vivegam' has created a new Box office record with its second day collections in Chennai Box Office. Trade sources reveal that the Siva directed International spy thriller flick has collected a whopping Rs.1.51 crores from theatricals across Chennai on August 25th which was a public holiday for Vinayakar Chathurthi festival. No other film has collected this amount in just one day in Chennai and in that way 'Vivegam' has created a new box office history.

On its first day of release (August 24), which was a working day 'Vivegam' had collected Rs.1.21 crores in Chennai Box office. On the second day the collection is more even after the film getting mixed reviews from critics. That proves why Thala is hailed as the King of Opening!

Due to excessive demand for tickets many theatres in Chennai have increased the number of shows for the weekend that is today and tomorrow.
