Thala Ajith's 57th film has just begun its shoot and within that the overseas distribution rights have been sold for a phenomenal price... !!!

According to the information, we get from a source. the film directed by Siva with the working title 'AK 57' has been locked by a distributor of Tamil films in overseas for Rs.20 crores. This is reportedly one of the Top 5 prices paid for a Tamil film's distribution rights in foreign locations.

This record is being attributed to the huge success of Ajith and Siva's previous film 'Vedalam' which did exceptionally well in overseas locations.

'AK 57' is being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and it stars Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan as female leads. The film is touted to be an international spy thriller in which Ajith plays an Interpol officer. Anirudh is rendering the musical score while Vetri takes care of cinematography.

The film went on shooting floors earlier this week in Belgrade and it will be predominantly shot in European countries.
