Rumors were abuzz in certain section of the press that Ajith's forthcoming movie to be produced by Sivaji Films will be churned out by Dharani and not Gautham Menon as reported initially.

A new twist seems to be happening now. Dharani may not wield the megaphone for the project and instead an intense search is on to find an apt director. Though the names of directors like Murugadoss, Vishnuvardhan and 'Kireedom' Vijay are being contemplated, it looks like all these directors are preoccupied with earlier commitments.

Sources say Dharani may make a film with Vikram early next year. Vikram is currently acting in Mani Ratnam's film 'Ravana'. Upon its completion, the actor may start a project with Dharani.

For now Ajith and his camp are reportedly hunting for a talented director for his 49th movie.
