Rakshmika Mandanna, who rose to fame with Telugu blockbuster Geetha Govindam alongside Vijay Deverakonda, is finally making her Kollywood debut alongside Karthi, in a film titled Sultan, directed by Remo fame Bakkiyaraj Kannan.

It is well known that Rashmika has already expressed her desire to work with Vijay and Ajith someday in the future. Despite being aware of the massive fanbase the two stars enjoy, Rashmika was still shocked and taken aback by the loud response she received from Ajith's fans when she announced at an award function that she would love to share screen space with Ajith. It apparently took her a few moments to understand the reason behind the loud cheer, as the host then mentioned to Rashmika about "the power of Thala fans."

Rumours were earlier doing the rounds that Rashmika has been roped in to play the lead in Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming movie, the untitled Thalapathy 64, alongside Vijay. However, it is also being speculated that Kiara Advani or Malavika Mohanan might have signed up for the part. Official details of the complete cast and crew of Thalapathy 64 are expected to be announced in a couple of weeks.
