Ajith Kumar and Thalapathy Vijay are officially ruling fans hearts as the topmost heroes for the past three decades. While Vijay's debut as the lead was in 'Naalaiya Theerpu' released in 1992, Ajith's first Tamil film 'Amaravathi' and Telugu film 'Prema Pusthakam' released a year later in 1993.
However both the much loved superstars have acted as child artistes. Popular film reviewer Blue Sattai Maaran has shared similar videos of both the stars debut movies. In 'Vettri' (1984) directed by SAC, ten year old Vijay is shown as being head over heels in love with his sister's daughter. He beats up another boy who tries to be friendly with the girl. An ignorant villager points out to Vijay that he is not the girl's husband, the little boy takes the girl to a nearby temple and garlands her and ties the "thaali" as well (!).
In the video of Ajith's debut movie 'En Veedu En Kanavar' lovers Suresh and Nadhiya come across school boy Ajith romancing his classmate and feeding her a chocolate. The elder couple punish him by asking him to hold his ears and do squats.
Ajith and Vijay are all set to clash at the box office on Pongal 2023 as their upcoming movies 'Thunivu' and 'Varisu' respectively are releasing on the same day. Though their fans will take it as an opportunity to play one upmanship games on social media it is going to be a double Pongal treat for the general audiences.
