Ajay to do a Veeru in RGV's 'Sholay'

Trust Ajay Devgan to try his hand at playing different characters every now and then. You have seen him playing an intense character, a buffoon, a romantic guy, a villain and what not.

Now see him doing what was one of Dharamendra's best enacted comic roles as 'Veeru' in Sholay. With Abhishek Bachchan out from RGV's 'Sholay' and things not quite working out with Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgan was considered as the right choice for the role and was promptly approached.

Can we have Kajol as Basanti please? It would be fun to see Ajay wooing her chatterbox character with the line - 'Tumhara Naam Kya Hai Basanti?'
