The pandemic may have forced movie theatres out of business but same could not be said about the film industry. Filmmakers have choosen the digital route to distribute their films. Several films starring mainstream actors have been released on OTT platforms. However, the film fraternity is polarized about the OTT platforms. Ajay Devgan, for example, isn't really a fan of the streaming services.
He said, "Cinema, at least the kind I’m doing has just one destination — a theatre near you. I want the films I’m doing to be enjoyed on the big screen. I cannot debate on the merits of cinema halls versus OTT platforms because the reality is that both will coexist." Ajay's recent production 'The Big Bull', which was originally planned for a theatrical release, was also released digitally.
On the acting front, Ajay has announced his first OTT project titled, 'Rudra'. Apart from this, he will also appear in the sports drama 'Maidaan' and 'Bhuj: The Pride of India'.
