Top heroes like Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, Mohan Babu, Srihari, Srikanth, and Gopichand, started their career in acting as villains. Later, they went on to become successful heroes. Ajay is one such young artist who debuted with a short role in Pawan Kalyan's 'Khushi'. He gradually developed his skills with films like 'Okkadu', 'Pokiri', 'Lakshmi Kalyanam', 'Vikramarkudu', 'Bhaiyya', 'Gundhe Jhallumandi' and 'Shouryam', and became an established villain.

Ajay is now in the path of the above said star heroes as turns into a hero with 'Saarai Veerraju' in the direction of Kannan, an apprentice of SS Rajamouli who’s debuting as a director through this film.
