Ajay Devgn to remake Mani Ratnam's 'Agni Natchathiram'?

The latest buzz in the film industry is that the 1988 offering by Mani Ratnam, ‘Agni Natchathiram’, will be remade in Hindi! Reliable sources in the trade have it that Ajay Devgn will be acting and producing this film in Hindi.

Ajay Devgn was recently cast in the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Singam’ that bore the same title and tasted success at the BO. The Hindi ‘Singham’ director, Rohit Shetty is said to be wielding the megaphone for this film as well.

Tinsel town is abuzz that VG Entertainment’s CEO, Vijay, bought the Hindi remake rights for this Mani Ratnam film which was a trendsetter back then, especially due the varied lighting and cinematography by PC Sriram.

The film is about two half brothers who come together for their father and fight against social evil. Prabhu and Karthik played the lead roles in the original. Who will play the other hero along with Ajay Devgn, we’ll have to wait to know…
