Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn who was last seen in Raj Kumar Gupta’s ‘Raid’ has bagged his next big project titled ‘Chanakya’. Directed by Neeraj Pandey and bankrolled by Reliance Entertainment, the film will be fully on the renowned scholar, advisor, economist and political strategist Chanakya who palyed a key role in the establishment of the Chandragupta Maurya dynasty.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Ajay Devgn made the announcement,“Looking forward to playing #Chanakya, a film about one of the greatest thinkers in Indian History, directed by @neerajpofficial.”

Talking about the film, the ‘Singham’ actor said,”I am truly looking forward to playing Chanakya. I have observed Neeraj Pandey’s work closely and I know Neeraj will tell this story with the clarity and passion that it needs to be told”. The release date and the cast is yet to be finalised.

Apart from ‘Chanakya’, Ajay has films interesting films lined-up – ‘Total Dhamaal’, ‘Sons of Sardaar: The Battle of Saragarhi’ and an untitled film with Ranbir Kapoor.
