Mohanlal's 2013 Malayalam thriller flick 'Drishyam' was a phenomenal hit. It was remade in several languages and the Hindi version was headlined by actor Ajay Devgan. Hindi version was also well recieved in critical as well as commercial aspects. The sequel for the Malayalam version was released this year it has done justice to the bar set up by the original. Soon after this, fans started demanding a sequel for the Hindi version as well.
Fortunately, latests reports suggest that the sequel is, in fact, under development and Ajay Devgan will reprise his role of Vijay Salgaonkar. Others actors like Tabu, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta will also reprise their respective characters. The story will be a continuation of the first part.
Reports suggest that the project will go on floors as soon as Ajay is done with his films like 'Maidaan', 'Mayday' and others. At the moment, he is busy filming for his debut web show 'Rudra'. Rumors suggest that 'Drishyam 2' will be directed by Abhishek Pathak.
