Superstar Ajay Devgan is all set for the release of his debut OTT show 'Rudra: The Edge of Darkness'. The show will feature him in the role of an investigative cop but it'll be nothing like his character from massively popular 'Singham' films. During a recent media interaction, Ajay shared a thing or two about his character and revealed why he was tempted to do this project.

According to a recent report in Pinkvilla, Ajay said, "The concept of Rudra was intriguing for me. Rudra is a smart cop who uses his impeccable mind skills to stay ahead of criminals. He doesn't feel the need to use violence as a weapon. Instead, he is analytical and puts details first. Rudra is suave, nuanced and mindful and that's why I was drawn to him in the first place."

'Rudra' is a remake of British crime thriller 'Luther' which starred Idris Elba in the lead. Apart from Ajay, the show also stars Esha Deol, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Satyadeep Misra in pivotal roles and it is set to release on 4th of March.
