Superstar Ajay Devgan has been endorsing a pan masala brand since last few years and he is often trolled on social media regarding the same. However, this trolling and backlash got worse when actors Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar also joined Ajay in promoting the said brand.

Several netizens criticised the trio for encouraging the consumption or harmful substances like pan masala. During a promotional interview for 'Runway 34', Ajay was questioned about this issue and he responded by saying, "It is a personal choice."

Explaining his side of things, Ajay said, "When you do something, you also see how harmful it would be. Somethings are harmful, some are not. I would say it without naming it because I don’t want to promote it; I was doing elaichi. What I feel is more than advertisements, if certain things are so wrong, then they should not be sold.”

'Runway 34' is an aviation thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and Rakul Preet Singh and it is set to release on 29th of April.
