After weeks of wait and anticipation, Ajay Devgan's aviation thriller 'Runway 34' finally got released today and it's been garnering postive reviews from fans. Since the film is based on an aviation mishap, 'Runway 34' has a technical aspect and it is much more slick and grounded in approach in comparison to recent blockbusters like 'RRR' and 'KGF: Chapter 2'.
In a recent conversation with The Indian Express, Ajay shared that despite being a serious and realistic film, 'Runway 34' has a lot in common with "seeti maar" films.
He stated, "When you say seeti-maar films, it is about heroism. This film has a lot of heroism. In fact, the character is very very heroic, not because he is a good guy, but because he is somewhat grey and loves to break rules. I think this will connect with a lot of viewers. He is brilliant. He is fabulous at his job. He is got a great mind, but he is a rule breaker, and he does things on his terms and conditions."
Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh and Boman Irani in pivotal roles, 'Runway 34' marks Ajay Devgan's first directorial venture since 'Shivaay' (2016).
