Bollywoods top beauty queens have a stiff competition this year. London beauty in her Bollywood duty Katrina and the former Miss world Aishwarya will be fighting neck to neck in 2010.
As the buzz of their films spreads it gets more and interesting.
We all know that 2009 was not much happening for the Bachchan bahu Aishwarya who after ruling the hearts of millions worldwide decided to permanently settle down in the heart of Abhishek Bachachan. The proud bahurani of Bollywoods premium family didnt have a busy 2009 as she gave chance to her contemporaries.
However this year the queen is in the mood to strike and how? With four back to back big films with the biggest of co-stars and the best of filmmakers, Aishwarya will be giving her contemporaries sleepless nights especially to the touted Bollywood numero uno Katrina Kaif.
Aishwarya line up is very promising and seems to have an edge this year where she will be seen in Ravaan with Abhishek. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the trio is back after the successful Guru.
Action Replayy with Akshay Kumar and directed by Vipul Shah. A complete entertainer where Aish will display her comic timings.
But the best is still to come; Aishwarya will be sharing the screen with the magical Rajni in Endhiran directed by Shankar. The most expensive movie ever made in India.
The B-town beautiful will also be seen with the Bollywood Greek god in looks Hrithik Roshan in Bhansalis Guzarish.
With others lacking way behind its only Katrina who seems to be in some competition.
Her next is a magnum opus Rajneeti directed by Prakash Jha, where she plays a character similar to Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Again she will pair with her lucky mascot Akshay in Tees Mar Khan directed by Farah Khan.
The release of Italian Job with Abhishek is doubtful for the year 2010.
The above two films are being made by helmers who have a proven track record.
Prakash Jha is back to his mastery over political dramas and Farah has already proved herself as the director of the masses.
Lets see how the aam junta response to the call of these two B-town lovelies who have their own base and following.
Many find Katrina to be the successful heir to the throne going by her track record and endorsements but many at the same time disagree and argue that Katrina might be taking over many assignments but still she needs to be recognize as an international face, which Aishwarya has done it with perfection. Aishwaryas long association with the top international beauty brand LOreal is an example that she is still considered as an international face and the company is finding it difficult for a replacement.
There are rumours that Katrina royals tried to bag LOreal for her but her she couldnt make it and the reason was her face which the promoters felt that may not influence Asian buyers to the level of their expectations.
Luckily for Katrina, Rajneeti is releasing very shortly where she has a deglamorised role and she appears in a sari.
Hmmmm. Very interesting but it will be fun to see how the touted number one Katrina tackles this onslaught by the Empress Aishwarya who is coming in 2010 with a huge roar threatening all the B-town lovelies as she promises a grand comeback.
