Aishwarya Rajinikanth is a famous director who made memorable films like Dhanush starrer '3' and Gautham Karthik starrer 'Vai Raja Vai'. It was announced last year that she is returning to filmmaking after a long time with the upcoming film 'Lal Salaam,' produced by Lyca Productions.

Starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, the film is said to be based on cricket. There is a huge inception surrounding Lal Salaam as Superstar Rajinikanth will be appearing for a special cameo in this movie after more than a decade. The shooting was expected to begin in February and Rajini is likely to play a Muslim character.

Last night, Aishwarya took to her social media to drop a massive update on Lal Salaam. She shared that the set works began with a small puja ceremony and posted the video from the spot captioning, "Slow and steady … we get ready …with the grace and blessings of #annamalaiyar set work begins..need all positivity and wishes through and through get set go! #lalsalaam" (sic).

Isai Puyal AR Rahman is set to compose the musical score for the mega-scale project with cinematography by Vishnu Rangasamy, art direction by Ramu Thangaraj, editing by Pravin Baaskar, costume designs by Poornima Ramasamy, and publicity designs by Kabilan.
