Superstar Rajinikanth's eldest daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and actor Dhanush fell in love and got married in 2004. They have two sons Yaatra and Lingaa and after eighteen years of marriage they decided to separate and announced the same earlier this year.

It as reported that both sides of the families tried to mediate and fans hoped that the couple will bury their differences. It was also said that though both of them were staying in Hyderabad in the same hotel for their respective works they did not try to talk to each other.

So far Aishwarya has been maintaining her name as Aishwarya R Dhanush in social media but on Monday she changed it to her maiden name Aishwarya Rajinikanth on Twitter. Netizens feel that this is to convey strongly that she has no intention of getting back with Dhanush. However the talented filmmaker is still using her married name on Instagram.

Aishwarya whose music video 'Muzafir' released on March 17th to great response from fans will soon direct the Hindi film 'Oh Saathi Chal'. She will later helm Raghava Lawrence's comedy action thriller 'Durga' in Tamil.
