Looks like Aishwarya Rajesh is up for a great year-end ahead with the back-to-back release of two of her female-centric films. Yesterday the teaser of her new film Driver Jamuna was released and it was followed by the trailer of the much-anticipated movie The Great Indian Kitchen.
The film which is an adaptation of a Malayalam film of the same name is helmed by director R. Kannan. Kannan is famous for films like Jayamkonden, Kanden Kathalai, and Settai. The director also has acquired the rights to the Telugu version of the movie.
The film portrays how a patriarchal society confines its women to the kitchen and restricts them to domestic chores. While Aishwarya Rajesh plays the lead role of a newly married woman, actor-filmmaker Rahul Ravindran essays the role of her husband.
The film has music by Jerry Silvester Vincent and cinematography by Balasubramaniam. Leo John Paul is handling the edits. The film is produced by Durgaram Choudhary and Neel Choudhary.
