Karthik Subbaraj, one of the pioneers in making the jump from short films to feature films touched the zenith of his career this year directing Superstar Rajinikanth in 'Petta'. The maverick filmmaker is in London currently shooting for his new movie starring Dhanush, Kalaiarasan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and James Cosmo.

Karthik Subbaraj is also busy producing films with different genres and only a couple of days ago commenced the shooting work for a new woman-centric thriller starring Keerthy Suresh in the lead which is his third film as a producer after 'Meyadha Maan' and 'Mercury'. The fourth film of Stone Bench Creations started shoot in the Nilgiris on Sunday which is touted to be a mystery horror thriller starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead. The as-yet-untitled film is directed by Rathindran R Prasad with Roberto Zazara cranking the camera. The director has also completed 'Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kathai' starring Guru Somasundaram and Aishwarya Rajesh.
