The movie 'Sarbjit' that hit theatres on May 20 this Friday has done quite well at the first weekend. This movie was directed by National Award winner Omung Kumar which was based on the true story of the late Sarabjit Singh. According to media reports and sources, this movie scored lower than what was expected as it minted only Rs. 3.69 crores on the first day of its release at the box office. But in two days time the movie rose to Rs. 4.56 crores, and the third and final day of the weekend it grew to Rs. 5.71 crores with the total collections being Rs. 13.96 crores. Now that`s a good start to begin with!

This movie 'Sarbjit' features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha in the lead roles. Seems like, who ever walked out of the theatre were teary eyed and lauded the performances of the lead actors which truly moved them. Something that caught everyone`s eye was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan`s performance as Dalbir Kaur and Randeep, as Sarabjit that left audience speechless.
