'Ponniyin Selvan-I', which is directed by Mani Ratnam, has been shot in Madhya Pradesh of late. Earlier, a schedule involving Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was shot in Puducherry. A BTS still from the sets of the Puducherry schedule has found its way into the Internet.

The 'Robot' and 'Raavan' actress is seen wearing a red silk saree in it. In keeping with her role, she is also seen wearing necklaces, bangles, earrings and others.

The makers of the magnum opus had kept her look under the wraps. But the mischief of a miscreant has killed the suspense.

Also produced by Madras Talkies, the magnum opus is a duology based on a Tamil novel written by novelist Kalki. The first edition will hit the screens in 2022. The film's cast is huge and their names will be made official in the near future. Mani Ratnam has teamed up with screenplay writer Jeyamohan for the film. With music by AR Rahman, its cinematography is by S Ravi Varman. If the production design is by Thota Tharani, its editing is by A Sreekar Prasad. The film is presented by Subaskaran.
