We broke the news to you that Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan tested positive for COVID 19 last night and has been admitted to the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai. His condition is said to be stable and other family members also were tested.

A little later Amitabh's son Abhishek Bachchan too confirmed that he has also been infected. He updated on social media "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."

Amitabh's wife Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya's results in the antigens test have come as negative. Their swab tests results are expected to come today and meanwhile they are in isolation in their homes according to reports.
