Former beauty and leading Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was snapped today at the Golden Temple as she had come for shooting of the film 'Sarbjit'. She will be soon seen is a biopic on Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh. She was wearing a Punjabi suit with her head covered with a dupatta. She also visited Langar (community kitchen) of the Golden Temple where she cooked food and cleaned the floor with devotion.
Sources say that, shooting for the film began in the afternoon and continued till evening, different kind of scenes were shot for the movie including inside the community kitchen, cleaning utensils, cleaning floor, cooking vegetables and others. Aishwarya Rai is playing the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur, while actor Randeep Hooda will be seen in the titular role. Sarabjit died after a brutal attack by jail inmates in a Pakistani. He was convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court and sentenced to death in 1991 but the government had stayed his execution for an indefinite period in 2008. His sister and family started a campaign for his release saying he was the victim of mistaken identity and had inadvertently strayed across the border in an inebriated state. This movie is directed by Omung Kumar and it hopes to release on May 20.
