On Sunday (17th Nov) the junior Bachchan couple played perfect host to one of the prestigious and high-profiled charity events - the inaugural fundraising ceremony of amfAR India, of amfAR-The Foundation for AIDS Research.

Held at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, the gala event witnessed the presence of amfAR’s Global Fundraising Chair and Hollywood actress-producer Sharon Stone besides the B-Town’s hot stars Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan who were the India select co-chairs, amfAR supporters.

Thrilled with the event’s turnout, Sharon Stone stated in a media interview that she has been very happy and honoured to attend the gala in India. She was also quite excited to be associated with Aishwarya and Abhishek on the cause and shared that her rapport with Aishwarya started couple of years back when the latter had been in Cannes to promote L’Oreal. "It is very kind of Aishwarya and Abhishek to support this cause... They are such generous people," stated Sharone.

Aishwarya had been all the more beautiful; looking much toned down in Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit along with Abhishek who was dashing in dark blue-black suit.

World-renowned recording artist Kesha, amfAR chairman/designer Kenneth Cole, Hillary Swank, Nargis Fakhri, Dimple Kapadia, Shobhaa De, Dino Morea, Suchitra Pillai, Lisa Haydon, Sonal Chauhan, Nita Ambani, Parmeshwar Godrej and Sophie Choudhry were among the celebrities who graced the event.
