Airtel pays Rs 10K crore dues, Vodafone yet to do

It's known that telecom majors Vodafone, Tata Teleservices and Airtel owe a lot to the telecom department towards adjusted gross revenue (AGR), as per a recent Supreme Court ruling. Recently, the Government warned the companies of consequences if they don't obey the court order.
After the warning, Airtel has reportedly transferred Rs 10,000 crore to the telecom department. Of this, Rs 9,500 crore was paid on behalf of Bharti Airtel and the rest for Bharti Hexacom.
As per the government, Airtel owes Rs 35,586 crore to the telecom department in terms of statutory dues (read also licence fee and spectrum usage charge).
Vodafone Idea's total dues are worth Rs 53,000 crore. Tata Teleservices's dues are worth Rs 13,800 crore. Of BSNL, it is Rs 4,989 crore and of MTNL, it is Rs 3,122 crore.
