It has been announced that the Black Box from the Air India Express Flight from Dubai to Kozhikode that crash landed at the Kozhikode International Airport has been recovered. The Black Box will be vital in finding the cause of the accident and what happened before the crash.
At least 18 people including the pilot and co-pilot were killed, when the Air India Express IX 1344 flight carrying 190 passengers skid off the tabletop runway while landing and fell 30 feet into the valley, breaking into two parts.
While the exact cause of the crash is yet to be known, the Black Box can help find it. Preliminary investigation will take a minimum of 48 hours, and the Aviation accident investigation team will analyse the black box to find details. It must be noted that, in critical cases the Black Box will be sent to the airline company in the USA for decoding the Black Box.
