Sasikala opens up on Jallikattu protests for the first time

The people of Tamil Nadu especially the youngsters and the student force has been vehemently protesting for the conduct of the traditional Jallikattu sport. This voluntary uprising of the commoners has succeeded in making the Tamil Nadu State and Indian Union Governments act fast and promulgate an ordinance to conduct Jallikattu.
However the protesters across the state including Marina in Chennai are not ready to budge with the ordinance and they have announced that the protests will continue till the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act is amended which will be the permanent solution for the Supreme Court's ban on Jallikattu.
The ruling party AIADMK's newly sworn in General Secretary V.K.Sasikala who has never uttered a word ever since the protest has for the first time opened up after the ordinance has been promulgated by the State Government lead by her party.
In her statement, the longtime friend of the late Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha claimed that she made AIADMK led government fight for the Jallikattu cause.
She also claimed credit for CM O.Panneer Selvam visiting New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and her party MPs meeting the Union Home Minister to explaining the Jallikattu and request them to take measures to lift the ban. "I asked the Chief Minister to meet the Prime Minister to talk about the issue and discuss all possible legal measures to conduct Jallikattu. I also sent the MP's of AIADMK to meet the Home Minister." Sasikala said in her statement.
Sasikala has thanked the Central Government and PM Modi for working with the state government for bringing the ordinance.
Finally she has thanked the people for conducting the protest without giving room to any untoward incident and requested the youngsters and students to call of their protest as the ban on Jallikattu has been removed.
