AIADMK releases seat sharing for lok sabha elections!

The AIADMK alliance has released the list of 40 constituencies including the 39 in Tamil Nadu and one in Puducherry, where the different parties in their alliance will contest in Lok Sabha elections scheduled on April 18.

AIADMK will contest in a total of 20 constituencies, PMK will contest in seven, BJP in five, DMDK will contest in four and Tamil Maanila Congress, Puthiya Tamizagam, Puthia Needhi Katchi and NR Congress will contest in one seat each. The list was released by AIADMK coordinator O Paneersevelvam with chief minister Edapaddi K Palaniswami and BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan present during the announcement.

The following are the constituencies where AIADMK will contest: Salem, Namakkal, Krishnagiri, Erode, Karur, Tiruppur, Pollachi, Arni, Tiruvanamalai, Chidambaram (reserved), Perambalur, Theni, Madurai, Nilgirs, Tirunelveli, Nagapattinam, Myladudurai, Tiruvallur, Kanchiupuram and Chennai (south).

Ramadoss' PMK will fight the elections from Dharmapuri, Villupuram, Arakonam, Cuddalore, Chennai (Central), Dindugul and Sriperumbudur and national party BJP will be contesting elections in Kanyakumari, Sivagangai, Coimbatore, Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi.

Captain Vijayakanth's DMDK will contest in Kallakuruchi, Tiruchirapalli, Chennai (north) and Virudunagar. Tamil Mannila Congress and Puthiya Tamizagam will contest in Thanjavur and Tenkasi respectively, Puthia Needhi Katchi will fight in Vellore and NR Congress in Puducherry constituency.

Following the interviews for 18 constituency candidates, the list of candidates selected will be announced, said O Panneerselvam.
