Acting has given great joy to Archana. She is two time National Award winner for the best actress. Last week, acting brought her some discomfort.

Archana is currently acting as the mother to Dhanush in a movie named Parattai Ennum Azhagu Sundaram. Suresh Krishna directs it. She plays a village mother and is called up on to wear disheveled clothes.

After shooting for the film in Chennai's outskirts, she was asked to get a different dress for the next scene. So when Archana got back to a star hotel to get herself changed, the security there didn’t give her permission.

As she was in a poor woman’s clothes, the sentry obviously didn’t want her to get in. But when it was explained to him that she was an actress and was out shooting, the man understood his folly and let her in.

Even though this inconvenienced Archana, it redounds to the realism of her get-up that sentry too her to be a village woman.
