Akhil Akkineni's 'Agent' may not be ready to compete with 'Yashoda' this August 12. The Surender Reddy directorial, which is a spy action thriller, is said to be mooting a postponement of its theatrical release.
As per some reports, the slick actioner is yet to complete major portions of its shoot. The 'Race Gurram' and 'Sye Raa' director doesn't want to hurry through. So, producer Anil Sunkara is thinking of deferring the movie's release. That way, 'Agent' will be shot at its own pace.
If 'Agent' is postponed, August 12 will see the release of Samantha's 'Yashoda' and Nithiin's 'Macherla Niyojakavargam' alone. If 'Yashoda' is a drama-cum-thriller, the latter is a political actioner.
Coming to 'Agent', the film has Mollywood star hero Mammootty in a key role. It features newcomer Sakshi Vaidya as the heroine. Music and cinematography are by Hip Hop Thamizha and Rasool Ellore, respectively. Produced by AK Entertainments, the film has stunts by Stun Siva.
