'Agent', starring Akhil Akkineni in the lead, has begun its shoot today. Director Surender Reddy on Monday released a macho poster featuring the truly-in-form lead man while making the 'Shoot Begins' announcement.

Akhil revealed that he had to work out religiously to tone up his body and acquire the best shape in one year. "365 days back, I was challenged by director Surender to transform myself mentally and physically. Sir, the fire you have ignited in me will burn furiously throughout this film. I promise you that," the 'Hello' and 'Mr. Majnu' actor tweeted.

Earlier, the 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' maker said, "This is just the beginning...Meeku mundu mundu undi pandaga!!"

Produced by AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema, the film has the story by Vakkantham Vamsi. With Sakshi Vaidya as the heroine, its music is by S Thaman. Ragul Herian Dharuman and Avinash Kolla are its cinematographer and art director, respectively. Naveen Nooli is its editor.
