Megastar Chiranjeevi has shared a funny incident that happened ahead of the release of K Viswanath's classic, 'Sankarabharanam' (1980). In Samantha Akkineni's talk show Sam Jam, the 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' actor talked about it in a fun manner.
"A special screening of 'Sankarabharanam' was held for celebs. Since I knew Manju Bhargavi, she invited me over to the screening. I went. As the climax played out, I was in full tears. I didn't know how to wipe my tears. Manju Bhargavi helped me by lending her dupatta. Just as I started wiping my tears with her dupatta, the lights in the hall were switched on. Allu Ramalingaiah garu and my future wife Surekha were there in the same hall. Imagine what signal it must have sent to them," Chiru recalled, laughing out loud.
"When, two months later, Allu garu offered his daughter in marriage to me, I thought Surekha wouldn't like to marry me. But she married me," the 'Acharya' actor joked.
At this, Samantha quipped, "Maybe, she thought you are quite romantic." To which Chiru answered, "I must find it out from my wife."
