Kollywood star hero Suriya on Sunday night confirming that he has tested positive for coronavirus has shocked his fans. The actor is undergoing treatment for the infection and is doing fine as per his own statement on social media.

Suriya has cautioned everyone to beware that life has not returned to normal but at the same time, we cannot freeze in fear. We have to tread ahead carefully. In a tweet written in Tamil, the 'Aakasam Nee Haddhu Raa' actor thanked the doctors and medical professionals for their care.

Soon after the actor, who enjoys a vast fan following even in the Telugu States, confirmed his status, he was flooded with 'Get well soon' messages on social media.

On the professional front, Suriya has completed shooting for Mani Ratnam's web series for Netflix titled 'Navarasa' directed by Gautham Menon and also shot for a new movie directed by Gnanavel which he also produced. He is also gearing up to shoot 'Suriya 40' directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures.
